Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric Tea
Whether you are looking to try something new and change up your morning tea routine, incorporate some healthy alternatives into your life, or you are looking to find new ways to get your turmeric intake - this recipe is delightfully refreshing.
You will need:
- Small saucepan
- 8 ounces of water
- 1/2 teaspoon of organic turmeric root powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon of organic raw honey or organic stevia leaf powder
- 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
*All measurements are based on your personal taste. To make your tea a bit more sweet add more honey or stevia. Keep in mind stevia leaf powder is much sweeter than conventional sugar/sweeteners, so start with 1/2 teaspoon and go from there. If you like a spicier tea feel free to add more turmeric.
Bring water to a slight boil and then remove heat Add all spices, honey (or stevia), and lemon juice. Cover and let flavors combine for at least 3 minutes to enjoy hot. If you wish to enjoy the tea cold, allow tea to brew in the pot until completely cooled. Then transfer to an air-tight container and pop in the fridge. Enjoy!
